OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

KAEGAN Corporation is seeking an individual to plan, develop and implement win strategies relative to new business opportunities.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Maintains contact with Government officials, other customers and subcontractors in order to ensure good working relationships, and to determine feasibility of future business opportunities.
• Responsible for exploring, identifying, developing, and winning opportunities with the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
• Identifies new areas of business development.
• Develops marketing plans including promotion and qualification brochures. 
• Evaluates funding sources, competitive environment, market dynamics, price-to-win analyses and probability of winning.
• Leads the preparation of proposals in response to various requests.
• Considers acquisitions that complement and/or enhance the company’s broad growth and marketing objectives.
• Advises and assists all departments in the fulfillment of their respective business development functions.
• Represents Company at various customer/sponsor meetings.
• Some travel required.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

REQUISITE SKILLS:

• Ability to effectively communicate to senior management and external customers.
• Ability to forecast, design and implement a BD strategy for an organization.
• Ability to aggressively generate leads, seek out new business opportunities, investigate and analyze current and potential markets/clients.
• Proven track record of success working in the DoD environment is required.
• Background in DoD acquisition and business development within the government contracting industry.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

B.S. in Business Administration or related area.
