OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
Reviews, analyses, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Maintains the software baseline of the system.
- Writes necessary code to correct Problem Trouble Reports.
- Conducts unit testing on software developed to correct Problem Trouble Reports.
- Reviews software products and develops alternative approaches.
- Conducts trade off studies.
- Accomplishes additional tasks as assigned.
REQUISITE SKILLS:
- Must be knowledgeable of all phases of computer system design and computer software acquisition management with special emphasis on software coding.
- Proficiency with Linux (Unix) required. Experience with modeling & simulation, OOS, CCTT and/or AVCATT-A desired.
- Must possess or be able to acquire a Government SECRET security clearance
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: At least 3 years professional experience in the design, development and demonstration of computer systems, software and databases for application to office automation systems using higher order language(s) and specialized database development tools (two years must be current experience) required.
Education: BS/BA or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics or related science which includes coursework related to computer system design, computer programming and database design.
Substitutions: An advanced degree (Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics) may be substituted for one year of experience.
