OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

This position will be a part of a multi instructor workforce conducting officer training courses in support of US Navy training at the Aegis Training Readiness Center (ATRC) Dahlgren, VA.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Prepare and deliver modifications to existing training materials
• Deliver completed training on
• Aegis Weapon System (AWS) MK7 Operation and Maintenance TRK2 (CIN S-121-0547)
• Aegis Weapon System (AWS) MK7 Operation and Maintenance TRK3 (CIN S-121-0005)
• Aegis Weapon System (AWS) MK7 Operation and Maintenance TRK4 (CIN S-121-0574)

• Provide monitoring and course evaluation
• Accomplish additional tasks as assigned

REQUISITE SKILLS:

• US Navy NEC 1105 or 1336, 1144 or 1119, and 9502 are required.  US Navy NEC 1335 is desired.
• Must be a graduate of the AWS course prior to 2000 where prior experience was with Aegis computers, specifically adjuncts and UNIX, OR prior experience with SPY-1(D) radar and received training in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD).
• Must possess or be able to acquire a Government SECRET security clearance
• Must be familiar with curriculum development, course maintenance and testing and computer aided instructional methods

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in a related field and five (5) years of experience or nine (9) years of directly applicable experience.
