			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>KAEGAN Corporation is pleased to announce our recent Capability Maturity Model Integration for Services (CMMI-SVC) Maturity Level 2 appraisal by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University and ISO 9001:2008 QMS certification through The International Organization for Standardization (ISO).</p>
<p>CMMI-SVC Maturity Level 2 appraisal validates KAEGAN’s best practice of processes to address development, delivery and maintenance of the services delivered to our customers.  The appraisal encompassed business and functional support areas, including program management, project support and supplier management.  Our processes integrate essential bodies of knowledge within software engineering, systems engineering, project management, service provisioning and acquisition.</p>
<p>ISO 9001:2008 certification validates KAEGAN’s Quality Management System of standards which addresses development, delivery and maintenance of services we provide throughout the life cycle for each project.</p>
<p>Less than one percent of the companies registered with ISO or SEI have both designations that KAEGAN has attained this year. “We are proud to have attained both these prestigious certifications from SEI, Carnegie Mellon University and The International Organization for Standardization this year to corroborate the great work of our talented team” said Shirley Wolf, President/CEO, “KAEGAN’s founding principles are based on quality service and continual process improvements.  We understand the world evolves and as such providing world class services require continual process improvement and exceptional quality services.  Our customers will have the confidence of knowing, our project services conform to repeatable processes within the highest industry quality standards.” </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>KAEGAN Corporation is pleased to announce our recent contract award, 23 August 2011, from the Navy&#8217;s Training System&#8217;s Division located in Orlando, FL for Contractor Support Services (CSS).  The three-year, $32.5 million task order will provide services which encompasses a wide range of   corporate operations, research and technology,  program management, logistics,  engineering and instructional systems support for training systems managed by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD). </p>
<p>NAWCTSD is the Navy&#8217;s source for a full range of innovative products and services that provide complete training solutions. NAWCTSD integrates the science of learning with performance-based training and measurement of training effectiveness focused on improving the performance of Sailors and Marines. KAEGAN’s support includes requirements analysis, design, development and full life cycle support of training systems to enhance continuous learning across a wide variety of applications.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>KAEGAN proudly announces receipt of our ISO 9001:2008 registration from the International Organization for Standardization April 2011.  The ISO 9000 family addresses &#8221;Quality management&#8221; to determine what the organization does to fulfill: The customer&#8217;s quality requirements, and Applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to Enhance customer satisfaction, and Achieve continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of these objectives.</p>
<p>&#8220;We have institutionalized our processes as part of our Quality Management System (QMS).  This was a corporate decision to make quality results predictable,&#8221; said Shirley Wolf, President/CEO,  &#8220;The result is that KAEGAN Corporation has attained ISO 9001:2008 QMS Certification for “…the provision and project management of professional engineering, information technology and educational system support personnel”. </p>

<p>Laura Livingston, Training Specialist in Norfolk, VA, participated in raising awareness and donations for the Special Olympics by taking a Polar Bear Plunge.  Laura shared with us that it was snowing and 30 degrees out that day and the water was actually warmer than the blowing snow that was pelting them on the beach!  The Polar Bear Plunge participants raised over $800,000 for the Special Olympics.  Awesome job, Laura!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The benefits that drug-free workplace programs bring to employers, workers and communities are the focus of the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Drug-Free Work Week, October 19 – 25, 2009.  Those benefits include a safer work environment with fewer accidents, improved productivity and reduced costs according to the DOL.  It claims that 75 percent of the country’s current illegal drug users and 79 percent of the nation’s heavy alcohol users are employed…and some of that consumption occurs in the workplace.   According to the DOL, around 3.1 percent of workers report that they have used illegal drugs before or during work hours.</p>
<p>As part of KAEGAN’s ongoing drug-free awareness program, we have implemented the Drug-Free Workplace Education Session for employees.  This online training session provides information on:</p>
<ul>
<li>The dangers of drug abuse in the workplace</li>
<li>KAEGAN’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy</li>
<li>Assistance available including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li>
<li>The penalties that may be imposed upon employees for drug abuse violations</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are happy to announce the implementation of an Employee Referral Program!  At KAEGAN, we recognize how helpful employee referrals can be for bringing in quality recruits and we would like to encourage KAEGAN employees to recommend qualified individuals whom they feel would be good additions to the KAEGAN team.  Eligible employees can receive referral bonuses of $200 &#8211; $750 if the candidate is hired.  Fifty percent of the bonus will be paid when the referred candidate is hired and the remaining fifty percent will be paid when the referred candidate has completed their first 90 days of employment.</p>
